After a big ice skating adventure, mounds of food and crafts, it was time for the gifts for these awesome boys! We had a friend dress up as Santa and the boys (at least the younger ones) were pretty excited to see him walk in the door.
Each boy was assigned a very generous couple, who bought each boy new clothes, a new pair of shoes and a few toys.
It was so awesome to see their faces light up with each gift. I think the youngest boy (above), who had just turned 5 a few weeks earlier, was a bit overwhelmed by all the attention and excitement.
This is the oldest, who was quite the artist with the markers, with his favorite toy- some sort of instrument which he really enjoyed playing all night long.
I wonder if the sponsors realized the implications of 5 boys with a Nerf gun?!?!??
Here's a great group shot of the boys, decked out in their new jackets and shoes, with their grandparents.
This is my mother in law, who is cousin's with the grandma that's raising the boys. She's with her wonderful friend, who along with her husband and their church small group, was responsible for throwing such a great party for these very special boys. We really appreciate all the love and kindness they have given our family.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Just booked our tickets for our anniversary trip to Brazil & Argentina! WOOOOOHOOOOO!!!
