MIRACLE GROW

So this is what my backyard looked like a little over 2 years ago when I moved here in August 2005. I've mentioned before that the freeway is right behind me and can easily be seen from inside the house. Priority 1 was to plant some trees and bushes to block out the sound, light and noise.

So in November of 2006, Gram gave me my house warming gift. She originally offered to buy me a washer and dryer, but I told her I'd *LOVE* to have some trees instead. They were so much more fun and exciting, they never break down and would bring years of enjoyment and pleasure. That's me, mom and Gram in front of my Laurel Oak Tree, and H & I in front of my dancing Pear tree.

I planted 2 large and 2 small Wax Myrtle Bushes along the fenceline to act as a privacy fence.

Give it a little love and watch it grow!

This was us in front of the Oak Tree in December 2006.

Check out the plants now!

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: We're planting 2 more in that corner above today!

I am jealous! Can you bring that green thumb up here and help my ailing yard along? :)
