Last Saturday, H and I went to a great pre-season game for the Houston Texans. Though one of my ultra-football fans will probably disown me for this, I'll confess that I can't name a single player on the team since they got rid of David Carr. But, I like to go because it's fun to get all dressed up and spend time with the hubby. Plus check out our tickets!
That's right- LUXURY SUITE!! The other fun part is the free food, free booze, free parking pass and great seats. H's company owns a suite, so we regularly get tickets to Football Games and of course the one and only Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. H is in sales, so his customers love to get free tickets to Reliant Park or the company suite at the Toyota Center (Rockets Games and LOTS of concerts!) The suite is pimped out with awesome food, a fully stocked bar and several TV's so you can watch other sporting events.
Can't really tell you much about the game. They would have won, except for those pesky last 45 seconds when the Bears scored a field goal. We had a great time- there was a funky band down in the lobby at half time. The other BEST PART is the ice cream trolley that comes by in the second half. We get as much ice cream with tons of toppings all in a cute little (piece of crap) souvenir football helmet. And that's on top of the $150 cheesecake we had in the suite. Um...yea, they charge those ridiculous prices for everything in the suite. Glad I don't have to pay. ;)
