BOYS GONE WILD

I mentioned that I was a bad wife while my husband was out playing, but I got it together before he came home. He had some great stories of his trip to NYC with his two groomsman. They are trying to hit up all the baseball stadiums in the country before they turn 40. This was their first trip and they wanted to catch the history of Yankee Stadium before is was torn down after the 2008 baseball season.
After some weather delays getting out of Houston due to TS Erin, they arrived after midnight and proceeded to hit up a pub and walking around Times Square. Friday morning, they did the laundry list of tourist sights: FAO Schwarz, Rockerfeller Center, Central Park, Statue of Liberty, the subway, Trump Tower, Grand Central Station, a few churches- all before the game that night.

Saturday morning, the guys rented a car and drove down the turnpike to DC and caught a Nationals Baseball game at RFK Stadium, which is also soon to be replaced by a new stadium.

Then the boys got wild. I'm not really sure why they thought drunk sight-seeing would be a good idea. So after the bars closed, they hit up the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and the White House. They didn't have to fight crowds, but they sure didn't get any good pictures!

Despite going to be about the time I got up on Sunday, they did sneak in White House (during daylight hours), the Supreme Court and Arlington National Cemetery on Sunday afternoon before their flight home. They are already planning their trip for next year. What stadium's should they go to?

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: My hubby has two of the most awesome best friends in the world.
