On Stephanie's last and final day here, we lived it up! Working for a traveling marketing tour, she'd been to Texas many time in the past. After church, she requested our lunch be at the BBQ place around the corner from the house. Good times....pictures don't even begin to describe how awesome the food is here.
~brisket~ ~hot butter rolls~ ~ribs~ ~pecan pie~ ~sweet tea~
All the good stuff.
A tv-induced nap is required after such a tummy-stuffing meal. We dragged our lazy butts out of the house to spend some time with H and go hang out in Houston. For something fun and quirky like us, we decided to browse through a few vintage & retro stores in the Montrose area. Does this make us look like a celebrity?
Spotting a neat little bar called Agora, we suddenly felt the need to drink again. Inside we split a great bottle of wine, ate chese & crackers and talked about life and love. Ahhhh....life is so good when you are with friends, food and your man.
Finally, we decided to head downtown to see some sights and rummaged among the skyscrapers. Downtown Houston has some amazing buildings, fantastic sculpture and some killer heat. We debated diving into this waterfall for a while, but then decided we'd rather go get more drinks and some food.
