Bye-Bye Bob the Builder

This was the "EXTRA" room when I moved in. You see, besides my bedroom, I had turned the Little Princess room into my office and the Orange Room into the guest room. However, the Bob the Builder room temporarily served as wedding-central, the DIY-storage-pack rat-junk headquarters. I promised H that after the wedding, the room could be his Boy Room.

So from June 2006 through April or so of this year, the room was a haven for blue latex painted chair rails AND door frames, over looked by Bob- who was carefully watching whatever junk we were storing in the room at any given moment.

H finally decided to work on HIS ROOM and first had to apply a few layers of primer to get rid of the blue bonanza everywhere. circa August, notice Zoe there for moral support.

Then the painting began!

He decided that he liked the color that we had painted our living room (or was too indecisive to pick any other color), so yellow on the walls it was! (circa late-November, I still see blue)

This was the state of the room at the end of 2007 with all the leftover Christmas junk and gifts we didn't know what to do with. It's on our 101 list, so we've still got over 600 days to finish, right?

This past weekend I promised H we could spend Saturday working on his room. He painted the chair rails white, which took several coats to go over the oil based paint the previous owners had used.

Though we had planned on painting the walls near the ceiling and all the detail areas on Sunday, that plan never materialized. After that's finished, we can tear out the carpet and lay some wood floors. Then paint the baseboards white and finally buy furniture!

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: We are in no hurry.
