Reclaiming My Life

This is mostly just a day-dream post about all the things I can't wait to do once my life settles down once again after our big trip and the big test and all the birthdays and other distractions that have filled my life these past few months.

First of all- get enough sleep to make it to the gym a few times a week. I've been average, at best, about running, but the weight training workouts have disappeared. I miss the gym :( I also want to get back into swimming. I'd love to aim for once a week in the pool. I think we're also about to put our names in the lotto for the NY marathon, so we may be training for that soon too!

Second, I look forward to leisure time again! I want to read my books and play with my camera. I've missed a ton of local photography meet-ups and spring festivals in Houston. I really miss our dance classes we took before the wedding, and hope we can take more salsa lessons.

Third, I really want to get back on track with eating healthy most days and cooking more at home. Hopefully the garden will inspire me to use fresh veggies, and I've got some cooking things on our 101 list.

Finally, get back to my abandoned blog Reflecting the Good News. We've mostly dropped out of our small group at church because our weekends are so packed with errands and chores. Although we've made it to church, I'd like to get back in a small study group and also find a place to volunteer.
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: We're having a great time in Detroit so far!

Yay dance classes! If you're ever out San Diego way, stop in at the Arthur Murray and say hello!
