We started August with an over-night road trip to Dallas to catch a Rangers baseball game at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. H hadn't been on any baseball trips this summer in his quest to see them all, so we wanted to visit a friend in Dallas & catch a game. I'll write another post on the stadium itself, but here's our adventure at the game.
H was very excited to see a *famous* player- Ichiro Suziki. We watched him make a few big plays & he was a very impressive player.
This is our friend Sue. She's awesome & super-funny, but refused to pose for any photos! We'll hopefully be making it back to Dallas to hang out with her more often.
One of the game "fillers" was a cute game where this little kid ran out to literally steal 3rd base and run back to the finish line for a prize.
We were also treated to some....heckler?? I'm not sure where he came from, but suddenly he was in outfield causing a ruckus and being chased around by 2 security guards.
Gotta have a self-portrait!
How awesome would this be for a birthday celebration?
We were worried all weekend about storms in the area & they literally cleared out as we arrived at the stadium and we were treated to a beautiful evening and sunset.
Just outside the park, we could see the new Cowboys Stadium. I'm actually really amazed at all the new baseball & football stadiums that have been built in the last few years. Good thing we are only doing baseball ;)
GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Been in Chicago over a week- glad to be going home tonight with tons of new photos to blog about!
