Wild Rides

The boys were so fascinated & intrigued by everything at Dewberry Farm. The climbed all over & explored anything.

Even though this "roping" exhibit wasn't turned on or working, the boys still made their own fun.

They had a blast on these pedal go-carts. It looked like a ton of work to do laps, but they were loving it.

It was neat to see them driving- they didn't crash too much!

I felt really bad for Joe- the youngest, because he was too small for the full size pedal carts. He went on the smaller track, with smaller carts, and still had a grand ol' time.

They had several races out there & it was neat to see the look of determination on their faces.

I really did think that 20 minutes of non-stop pedaling would wear them out, but no....

Off to the wheel-of-death, as I call it. The 3 youngest raced against the 2 oldest in the huge wheel.

The older 2 were obviously much more coordinated & easily beat their younger siblings.

In the "young wheel" there was at least one kid on the ground at any given minute.

And more often than not, 2 kids on the ground, tumbling around like the inside of a dryer!

They wanted to do this over and over again, but I was starting to get really worried that at least 1 of the 5 was going to get hurt.

Even the big kids went down....

In quite a crashing style....

And sometime all 3 little ones were on the ground.

But they got right back up and kept on racing.

Sort of....

Not really ;)

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Company Christmas lunch today!

See, now, if that were in California, the kids would be required to wear helmets and elbow pads and knee pads and safety goggles and it wouldn't be any fun at all ...
