Monkey in the Middle

Many toys come & most toys go very quickly. I buy the smaller puppy toys for Mia and Zoe can kill the squeaker in a few minutes. This monkey however has lived quite a few weeks in our house and provided hours of growling fun.

Zoe acts like she doesn't care about Mia, but she will grab the monkey and run to put it into Mia's face.

Mr. Monkey did lose a leg the first week, but all of his other limbs have remained attached since then. The leg is still around and Mia occasionally just walks around with it in her mouth.

Mia tries the under the mouth maneuver.

Now the tug....

One more twist....

Then a twist the other way....

The pull-down.....

Then she just sits down and chews on a leg.

Not even a little nose nuzzle will convince Zoe to drop the monkey.

Each round can go on for 5-10 minutes.

Finally Mia throws a paw up to see if that will help, but to no avail.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: Beautiful weather here in Philly, and I've booked my tickets to come back next month and visit my best friend.

Wow. If that was our pups that monkey would be destroyed w/in five minutes. I wish they'd keep the toys around for longer. We stop buying them stuffed animals for that reason.

After all the initial fuss it looks like these two are becoming best buddies.
