Truly, Madly, Deeply

I wanted to pause after 18 months of blissful marriage to reflect on just how head-over-heels in love with my husband I still am. Not that everyday is paradise, but for the most part, our days fly by filled with quick kisses and long hugs and lots of playful flirting. I typically alternate between feeling incredibly lucky & blessed that I have found such a wonderful husband and slightly paranoid that my fantasy world is going to burst any minute.

All of our upcoming travel in August & September means we will be apart quite a bit. As sappy as it sounds, I already know I'm going to miss him a ton. Just this past week with my SCUBA classes every night, I didn't get my usual and required fill of husband time each evening. We had to have a lunch date on Wednesday at Luby's so we could catch up with each other.
I can't believe how wonderfully awesome marriage has been. We have had so much fun traveling, working on our house together, spending afternoons at wine bars, and just being sappy in-love newlyweds. We're fast approaching fall & winter, when H will be working many long hours dung his busy season. I'm investigating hobbies & entertainment to keep me busy and not missing him too much.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: I think we are going to take the Advanced Open Water SCUBA class together soon.

That's a lovely wedding photo. And Truly, Madly, Deeply is one of my wife's favorite movies!

Congratulations! I too am blessed with a wonderful husband and have to sometimes just sit back and relax and not question how I got so lucky. :)

Truly, madly, deeply, my fav song. People will ask my husband and I "you two are newly weds?" we say, "nope, been married 8 years now." Their mouth drops open. You're happiness will show wherever you go. It will be contagious!

That's great! I too always worry that something will happen and ruin my perfectly happy life.
