From Family

Don't know why, but this little gift tag just cracks me up. Yea, that's what my family calls me, and that's what happens when your family gets to big to fit all their names on a little Christmas tag.

On a related "From Family" photo, I found these old photos while on my scanning tangent. This is from 1982, when I was 2.5 years old. I'm still just as excited to get books even many years later.

For the following Christmas, I received some fantastic Dr. Seuss books, that I still have to this day. Fortunately, mom has saved many of my books from my childhood to pass down to her grandchildren one day.

(Sorry for the messed up formatting again on the photos. I had uploaded these a while back.)

And couldn't pass up this opportunity to share a picture of me with my favorite Uncle from Denver. Reading picture books is the best.

GOOD NEWS OF THE DAY: For my 1 year blogging anniversary, coming up in less than 2 weeks, I'll be having a contest and also giving away some of my recently read books.

Great pictures! I'd been wanting to start scanning our old prints for a while and finally started a couple of weeks ago. It's quite a project!

I found you through Dennis/Jim. I love old photos and yours bring back fond memories! Cute pictures. I looked at your list of books...all excellent. I wish I had a scanner.

Never been to South Africa but through globalized company we sometimes get travel restrictions/alerts as Africa can be a bit volitile at times. Recommend getting some travel insurance incase you can't go. I would check my states "State Department" site for any travel alerts.
