In addition to the amazing pieces of jewelry, I had the opportunity to photograph at the HMNS, I also had a blast with this fantastic rocks. Given the oil & gas nature of Houston, geology is huge in this town.
I'll share a quick little geology story. H thought he would take a geology course as his science requirement in college, and he about died. I doubt he studied anything as cool as these rocks.

Love the huge amethyst! That's my favorite stone, since it's my wife's birthstone. :-)
